In Musical Theatre through Dance our focus will be exploring dance techniques and movement basics with roots in musical theatre. We will work to set a strong foundation to prepare and expose the students to the important part dance plays in theatre. This will help us build a repertoire to prepare an exciting piece from a musical for the anticipated showcase!

Watercolor Art for grades 3-6

Creative fun with colors! Unleash your child's creativity in this fun watercolor class where they will explore the magical world of watercolor. Through step by step guidance, kids will learn important watercolor techniques and skills such as blending, mixing colors, layering, dry/wet brush, and the color wheel. Each week kids will make their own masterpieces while becoming better watercolor artists. Some drawing will be required, and kids will be reminded of key elements of art like texture, value, and perspective.

This workshop provides participants with the basics for audition preparation for Community Theatre productions.

Monday, March 17: guides participants through activities, exercises, and expectations to help performers prepare for auditioning generally; including choosing an audition piece, creating a character, and day of preparation.

Thursday, March 20: builds on the learning in session 1, with a focus on activities, exercises, and expectations when auditioning for a musical production; including choosing a song, preparing for the audition itself (including movement and dance), and day of preparation.

MCT Workshop: Improv Acting for Grades 3 - 6
